VI. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES
Finance Committee:
247-11. ORDERED THAT: There be and hereby is appropriated the
sum of ONE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS
($110,700), same to be charged against AVAILABLE FUNDS
and credited to accounts as follows: $100,000 to
VETERANS BENEFITS GENERAL and $10,700 to VETERANS
PERSONAL SERVICES.

248-11. ORDERED THAT: There be and hereby is appropriated the
sum of ONE HUNDRED FORTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($143,000), same to be charged against AVAILABLE FUNDS
and credited to accounts as follows: $130,000 to FIRE
PERSONAL SERVICES OVERTIME and $13,000 FIRE EQUIPMENT
AND REPAIR.

249-11. ORDERED THAT: The City of Fitchburg accepts the gift
of $46,000 from UNITIL/Fitchburg Gas and Electric
Light Company to help with the Reconstruction of
Blossom and Crescent Streets.

251-11. ORDERED THAT: There be and is appropriated the sum of
ONE HUNDERED SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($175,000),
same to be credited to DPW-PROPERTY PURCHASE 242 HIGH
STREET and charged against AVAILABLE FUNDS.

Committee approval)
003-12. LOAN ORDER: Appropr. $8.8 Million Dollars for
Combined Sewer Separation (CSS) and Chemically
Enhanced Primary Treatment (CEPT) projects, as
outlined in the enclosed Order.

004-12. ORDERED THAT: The City of Fitchburg approves the
expenditure of funds from the Police-VAWA Stop
FY12 Grant in the amount of $30,000, for the purposes
of said Grant.

Planning Board:
225-11. Councillor Joel Kaddy, to accept the offer made by Dr.
Alfredson to purchase 721-725 Main St. for $75,000,
and to determine that the parcel is unique.

VII. ORDERS – FINANCE
008-12. ORDER: Transfer $11,000 from CDBG Year 37 FAMILY
SERVICES ADVOCATE POSITION to CDBG YEAR 37 POLICE HIGH
VISIBILITY PATROLS.
009-12. ORDER: That the City of Fitchburg approve the
expenditure of funds from the Police-CSP Program FY12
Grant in the amount of $10,000 for the purposes of
said grant.
010-12. ORDER: Appropr. $23,000, same to be credited to DPWANIMAL
CONTROL PERSONAL SERVICES and charged against
AVAILABLE FUNDS.
011-12. ORDER: That the City of Fitchburg is authorized to
amend the current municipal curbside contract with
Waste Management of Massachusetts, Inc., to implement
a New Curbside Collection Program and extend the life
of the contract from June 30, 2012 to June 30, 2018.
012-12. ORDER: That the City of Fitchburg approves the
expenditure of funds for the Sustainable Materials
Recovery Program Grant from the MA Dept. of
Environmental Protection in the amount of $105,000,
for the purposes of said grant.
013-12. ORDER: That the City of Fitchburg is authorized to
establish a “Public Health Sustainability Revolving
Fund” for Fiscal Year 2012 pursuant to MGL Chapter 44
Section 53E ½ in accordance with the following
specifications (see enclosed Order).
014-12. ORDER: That the City of Fitchburg approves the
expenditure of funds for the Public Health District
Incentives Grants (PHDIG) from the U.S. Centers for
Disease Control and Preventions (CDC) and the MA Dept.
of Public Health (MDPH), together, or in a combined
total of up to $325,000, for the purposes of said
grants.
VIII. ORDER-OTHER
015-12. ORDER: Authorizing the City Clerk to notify the
voters of the Presidential Primary on March 6, 2012.
016-12. ORDER: That the City of Fitchburg purchase the
Property located at 242 High St. for the sum of
$165,000 as outlined in the enclosed Order.
IX. ORDINANCES
017-12. AN ORDINANCE: That chapter 169, section 24 of the
Code of the City of Fitchburg entitled “Parking
Prohibited at all times” as most recently amended, be
further Amended by adding: (Cleghorn St.)

018-12. AN ORDINANCE: That Chapter 169, section 59 of the
Code of the City of Fitchburg entitled “One Way
Streets” as most recently amended, be further

XI. OTHER MATTERS FOR DISUSSION
286-10. That the City of Fitchburg is hereby allowed to

located at 242 High Street, for municipal purposes.
